The role of Associate – Risk Advisory (Internal Audit) is designed for fresh graduates who are eager to start a career in internal audit and risk management. As an associate, you will be part of the Risk Advisory team that assists clients in evaluating their internal control frameworks, identifying risk exposures and recommending practical solutions. The position follows a hybrid work model, allowing you to split your time between office collaboration and remote analysis, which fosters both teamwork and independent problem‑solving.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct fieldwork for internal audit engagements, including process walkthroughs, control testing and substantive verification.
2. Perform data extraction and analysis using tools such as ACL, IDEA and MS Excel to identify anomalies and trends.
3. Document audit findings, prepare workpapers and draft audit reports for senior review.
4. Assist in risk assessment workshops and help develop risk‑based audit plans.
5. Participate in client meetings to discuss observations and recommend remediation actions.
6. Support senior auditors in evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
7. Contribute to the development of audit methodologies and best‑practice templates.
8. Stay updated on emerging risk domains such as cyber‑risk, ESG and data privacy.
9. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver integrated advisory solutions.
10. Maintain proper documentation and ensure adherence to BDO’s quality standards.
