Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 1, 2025
Welcome to Jobdexo ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by Gakey Solutions (MSME registered). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit jobdexo.com or register for any Jobdexo event, webinar, or programme.
This policy is compliant with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the DPDP Rules, 2025. By using the site or registering for any Jobdexo event, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.
1. Who We Are
Jobdexo is a job discovery and career platform for freshers and early-career professionals in India, operated by Gakey Solutions (MSME). We are the Data Fiduciary under the DPDP Act, 2023 — meaning we determine the purpose and means of processing your personal data.
- Entity: Gakey Solutions
- Platform: Jobdexo (jobdexo.com)
- Contact: support@jobdexo.com
2. Information We Collect
We collect personal data only when necessary and only for stated purposes. We collect the following:
A. General Website Visitors
- Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent, browser type, IP address, device type, and referral source — collected anonymously for analytics.
- Tracking Data: Referral codes from URLs to attribute pageviews to creators for revenue share calculations.
B. Creator / Partner Accounts
- Name, email address, Instagram handle, and password (stored as an encrypted hash).
- Content submitted (job posts, study material) for moderation and publication.
C. Webinar & Event Registrants
- Name, email address, and mobile number — collected at registration to send webinar details and joining links.
- User type — whether you are a student or working professional, to understand our audience.
- Consent records — a timestamped, immutable log of exactly which consents you gave at registration, including the precise text shown, your IP address, browser/device information, and the URL of the registration page. This is your legal consent record under the DPDP Act.
- Marketing consent — only if you explicitly opted in via the optional checkbox at registration.
D. Contact Form
- Name, email, and message content when you contact us.
We do not collect payment card details or financial information. We do not require job seekers to create accounts.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (DPDP Act)
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Consent (Section 6): For webinar registrations, marketing communications, and data sharing with trusted partners — only where you have given free, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent through an explicit affirmative action (ticking an unchecked checkbox).
- Legitimate Use (Section 7): For processing data necessary to deliver services you requested — such as sending webinar joining details to registered participants.
- Legal Obligation: Where we are required to process data to comply with applicable Indian law.
Consent is always purpose-specific. We do not bundle consents. Each purpose has its own consent mechanism. You can withdraw consent at any time — see Section 9 (Your Rights) below.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect strictly for the purposes stated at the time of collection:
- To operate and maintain the Jobdexo platform.
- To send webinar joining links, reminders, and event-related updates to registered participants.
- To send career tips, referral opportunities, guidance, roadmaps, and partner offers — only to users who have explicitly opted in to marketing communications.
- To calculate creator revenue share based on pageview attribution.
- To send important emails related to creator accounts, post approvals, or rejections.
- To respond to contact form submissions.
- To improve the website through analytics data.
- To comply with legal obligations under Indian law.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Data Sharing with Third Parties & Trusted Partners
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
A. With Trusted Partners (Opted-In Users Only)
If you explicitly ticked the optional marketing consent checkbox at registration ("Yes! Keep me updated with career tips, referral opportunities, guidance, roadmaps & partner offers from Jobdexo and its trusted partners"), we may share your name, email address, and mobile number with carefully selected trusted partners such as:
- Education and career platforms (e.g., course providers, ed-tech companies)
- Webinar sponsors and co-hosts
- Career mentors or professional referral programme participants
Such partners are permitted to contact you with relevant career guidance, course recommendations, or opportunities. They are not permitted to further share your data with any other party, use it for unrelated purposes, or retain it beyond what is necessary.
We share data only with users who have given explicit opt-in consent. Users who did not tick the optional marketing checkbox will not have their data shared with any partner.
B. Service Providers (Data Processors)
We use third-party service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Hostinger — web hosting and database storage (India/EU data centres)
- Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics
- Google AdSense — advertising (see Section 7)
These providers are contractually bound to process data only as instructed and in accordance with applicable data protection law.
C. Legal Requirements
We may disclose your data if required to do so by law, court order, or competent Indian government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Jobdexo, our users, or the public.
D. Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your personal data may be transferred to the acquiring entity. You will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our site.
6. Webinar & Event Data — Specific Notice
When you register for a Jobdexo webinar or event, the following specific practices apply:
- Required data (name, email, phone, user type) is collected solely to send you joining details and event-related communications. This does not require your marketing consent.
- Marketing and partner sharing requires your separate, explicit opt-in via the optional checkbox. If you did not tick it, we will not send you marketing or share your data with partners.
- Consent is recorded with a server-side timestamp, your IP address, device/browser information, the exact checkbox text you saw, the privacy policy version in effect, and the page URL — creating a tamper-resistant audit trail as required under the DPDP Act.
- Event changes: Jobdexo reserves the right to reschedule, modify, or cancel any webinar or event. Registered participants will be notified via email of any such changes. Jobdexo is not liable for any inconvenience caused by rescheduling or cancellation.
- Referral and mock interview opportunities mentioned at events are subject to eligibility, speaker availability, and are not guaranteed. Mentioning them does not constitute a contractual commitment.
- Retention: Webinar registration data is retained for a maximum of 3 years or until you request deletion, whichever is earlier. Consent logs are retained for 5 years as required for legal compliance.
7. Cookies
Jobdexo uses cookies to enhance your experience. These include:
- Session Cookies: Used for creator login authentication. Expire when you close the browser.
- Analytics Cookies: Used by Google Analytics to understand site traffic. These are anonymous and do not identify individual users.
- Advertising Cookies: Used by Google AdSense to serve relevant advertisements. Managed under Google's own privacy policies.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly as a result.
8. Google AdSense & Analytics
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our site. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
We use Google Analytics to track anonymous usage statistics. This data helps us understand how visitors use Jobdexo. Google Analytics does not identify individual users. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Jobdexo products are ad-supported and free to use. We do not allow advertisers to pay to influence content recommendations or responses on this platform.
9. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act
As a Data Principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the following rights:
- Right to Access: Request a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is being processed.
- Right to Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected, or when you withdraw consent.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw any marketing or partner-sharing consent at any time by emailing us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal. Webinar joining details (required communications) will still be sent if you are registered.
- Right to Grievance Redressal: You may raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer (details below). If unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
- Right to Nominate: You may nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your incapacity or death, as permitted under the DPDP Act.
To exercise any of these rights, contact our Grievance Officer at: support@jobdexo.com. We will respond within 30 days of receiving your request.
10. Grievance Officer

- Organisation: Gakey Solutions (Jobdexo)
- Email: support@jobdexo.com
- Response Time: We aim to acknowledge all grievances within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days.
If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India once it is fully operational under the DPDP Act.
11. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected:
- Webinar registration data: Up to 3 years, or until deletion is requested.
- Consent audit logs: 5 years (required for legal compliance and dispute resolution).
- Creator account data: For the duration of the account plus 1 year after closure.
- Analytics data: As per Google Analytics retention settings (default 26 months).
- Contact form data: 1 year from date of submission.
After the retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymised. Deletion logs are maintained.
12. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS encryption across the entire website.
- Password hashing using PHP's bcrypt algorithm — we never store plain-text passwords.
- Prepared SQL statements to prevent injection attacks.
- Restricted admin access with session-based authentication.
- Consent records stored as append-only audit logs — never modified or deleted after creation.
- IP-based access controls for sensitive admin operations.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that is likely to cause harm, we will notify affected users and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.
13. Children's Privacy
Jobdexo is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older (college students, freshers, and working professionals). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we discover we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will delete it immediately upon becoming aware. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@jobdexo.com.
14. Third-Party Links
Jobdexo contains links to external company websites, job application portals, and partner platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or data handling of those sites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit through our platform before providing any personal information.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. When we make significant changes:
- We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
- We will post a notice on the Jobdexo homepage for at least 14 days.
- Where required by law or where changes materially affect how we use your data, we will seek fresh consent.
Continued use of Jobdexo after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree, you may request deletion of your data as described in Section 9.
