Analyst Trainee

The interview process typically starts with a timed online assessment covering quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning and basic programming. The technical round focuses on SQL queries, database design, and scenario‑based problem solving, followed by a HR round that assesses communication skills, teamwork and cultural fit. Candidates are advised to practice SQL exercises, understand ITSM workflows and be ready with clear examples of project work.

Candidates from the 2024 or 2025 graduating batch of any 3‑year UG degree such as BCA, BSc – Computer Science, Information Technology (allied streams), Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics or Electronics with a minimum of 60% aggregate in academics. Consistent academic record with at least 60% in X, XII, Diploma and UG (rounding off 59.9% is not allowed). No standing arrears at the time of joining. Open to Indian nationals / OCIs residing in India. Flexibility to work from any Cognizant office location and shift timing is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities: - Perform database queries, CRUD operations and develop stored procedures using SQL or PL/SQL. - Design, prepare and execute manual as well as automated test cases, scripts and test data. - Analyse, troubleshoot and resolve service tickets following standard operating procedures. - Demonstrate proficiency with IT Service Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) and Data Analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). - Document relationships between tables, write optimized queries and generate reports for business stakeholders. - Contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives and knowledge‑sharing sessions. - Act as a buddy for new hires, helping them acclimatise to the project environment. - Follow security, compliance and customer communication guidelines strictly. - Participate in shift‑based support (including 24x7 rotations) as required by the project. - Innovate by experimenting with emerging technologies and suggesting process enhancements. Technical Stack: SQL/PLSQL, MySQL/PostgreSQL, ServiceNow, JIRA, Power BI/Tableau, Linux/Windows OS, basic scripting (Python/Bash).
