As a Manufacturing Process & Quality Engineer Trainee, you will be immersed in the end‑to‑end production lifecycle, from equipment calibration to quality assurance, and will work closely with cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement. This position offers hands‑on exposure to lean manufacturing, Kaizen initiatives, and the regulatory standards that govern the medical device industry. Key Responsibilities: 1. Manage daily operations of the manufacturing line and ensure smooth workflow. 2. Resolve quality issues promptly, coordinating with supplier quality engineers. 3. Perform scheduled equipment calibration and maintain accurate calibration reports. 4. Conduct verification and validation activities for equipment and processes, preparing detailed reports. 5. Support equipment installation, maintenance, and tooling procurement. 6. Handle non‑conforming material reports, manage rejected material areas, and drive corrective actions. 7. Prepare and update work instructions, device history records, and engineering change communications. 8. Lead Poka‑Yoke projects to simplify jig and fixture usage. 9. Participate in Kaizen and Lean Action Work‑Outs to improve productivity and cost‑of‑time (COT). 10. Uphold EHS standards and assist in inventory management of capital goods. Tech Stack & Tools: Calibration equipment, MS Office, SAP/ERP for inventory, statistical process control (SPC) software, basic knowledge of GD&T, and familiarity with ISO 13485/QMS documentation. Growth Path: Successful trainees can progress to roles such as Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineer, Process Engineer, or Production Manager within GE HealthCare’s extensive global network.
