📋 About the Role
NVIDIA Corporation is a global leader in visual computing, artificial intelligence, and high‑performance graphics. Founded in 1993, the company pioneered the GPU and has since expanded its portfolio to include AI accelerators, autonomous‑vehicle platforms, and data‑center solutions. With a presence in over 50 countries, NVIDIA’s mission is to "accelerate the world’s computing" by delivering cutting‑edge hardware and software that power everything from gaming consoles to self‑driving cars. The company’s culture emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, making it an attractive destination for engineers who want to work on technology that shapes the future.
The role of a Formal Verification Engineer – New College Graduate is designed for fresh engineering talent eager to dive deep into the verification of complex digital designs. As part of NVIDIA’s hardware verification team, you will learn state‑of‑the‑art formal methods, develop rigorous test plans, and work closely with design engineers to ensure the correctness of IP blocks and System‑on‑Chip (SoC) architectures. This position offers a unique blend of theoretical rigor and practical implementation, allowing you to contribute directly to products that power AI, graphics, and autonomous systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Learn and apply industry‑leading formal verification methodologies to verify complex digital designs.
2. Develop comprehensive verification test plans for IP blocks, subsystems, and full SoCs.
3. Write and debug SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and formal property specifications.
4. Collaborate with RTL designers to understand design intent and quickly assimilate new RTL code.
5. Create and maintain temporal‑logic assertions to catch corner‑case bugs early.
6. Execute verification campaigns, analyze coverage metrics, and drive issues to closure.
7. Coordinate with cross‑functional verification teams to ensure seamless integration and sign‑off.
8. Document verification strategies, results, and lessons learned for future reference.
9. Participate in design reviews, providing formal verification insights and recommendations.
10. Continuously improve verification flow by exploring new tools, scripts, and automation techniques.
Tech Stack: SystemVerilog, UVM, Formal verification tools (e.g., JasperGold, Cadence Jasper, Synopsys VC Formal), Python/TCL scripting, Git, Jenkins CI, and basic knowledge of RTL design.
Growth Path: Starting as a New College Graduate, you can progress to Senior Verification Engineer, Verification Lead, and eventually Verification Manager or Architecture Engineer, with opportunities to move into AI hardware design or system architecture roles.
Why Join NVIDIA? You will work on industry‑defining products, receive mentorship from world‑class engineers, and enjoy a culture that rewards curiosity and impact. NVIDIA’s commitment to employee development, competitive compensation, and flexible work arrangements make it an ideal place to launch a high‑impact engineering career.
