📋 About the Role
eClerx is a global leader in data‑driven business solutions, helping Fortune‑500 companies transform their operations through analytics, automation and digital services. Founded in 2000, the company has grown to over 10,000 employees across 30+ locations, with a strong focus on innovation, client centricity and employee empowerment. eClerx’s Product Data Management (PDM) practice is a critical pillar that ensures clients’ product catalogs are accurate, enriched and ready for seamless omnichannel experiences.
The role of a Product Data Management Analyst is to act as the bridge between raw product information and the polished, searchable data that powers e‑commerce platforms, marketplaces and internal ERP systems. You will work closely with client category managers, data engineers and senior analysts to clean, enrich, standardize and publish product data. The position offers exposure to real‑world e‑commerce challenges, consultancy projects on taxonomy redesign, and the chance to influence data quality standards for leading brands.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Enriching product records by adding missing attributes, standardizing units and normalizing terminology across multiple sources (websites, internal databases, supplier feeds).
2. Conducting data quality audits, identifying gaps, and applying corrective actions to meet predefined accuracy thresholds.
3. Performing basic data profiling, generating quality reports and presenting insights to stakeholders.
4. Communicating with clients via email and virtual meetings to acknowledge requests, provide status updates and resolve queries promptly.
5. Drafting technical specifications and compelling product descriptions that enhance online presentation and SEO performance.
6. Advising client category managers on industry best practices for taxonomy, attribute hierarchy and navigation design.
7. Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to implement taxonomy redesign projects and improve site navigation.
8. Maintaining documentation of processes, guidelines and change logs for future reference.
9. Assisting in the creation of training material for client teams on data entry standards.
10. Continuously learning emerging data tools and suggesting process automation opportunities.
Technical stack: MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), Google Sheets, basic SQL for data extraction, familiarity with data‑cleaning tools (OpenRefine, Trifacta), and exposure to Python or R for scripting is a plus.
Growth path: Analysts typically progress to Senior Analyst, then to Team Lead or PDM Consultant, with opportunities to specialize in taxonomy architecture, AI‑driven data enrichment or client‑facing consultancy roles.
Why join eClerx? You will be part of a fast‑growing, technology‑focused environment that values continuous learning, offers structured mentorship, and provides a clear career ladder. The company’s emphasis on work‑life balance, flexible work‑from‑home options and regular upskilling programs make it an attractive destination for fresh talent eager to make an impact in the data domain.
