As a Technical Support Specialist – IT Infrastructure, you will be the first line of defense for all infrastructure‑related incidents and service requests. You will work closely with senior engineers, network teams and external vendors to ensure that the underlying technology stack remains robust, secure and performant. This role offers exposure to a wide range of enterprise‑grade tools and platforms, providing a solid foundation for a long‑term career in IT operations or cloud engineering.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Respond to user tickets via phone, email, chat and ticketing system within defined SLAs.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking and server issues on Windows and Linux environments.
- Perform user account provisioning, password resets and access management in Active Directory and Azure AD.
- Monitor system health using tools such as Nagios, SolarWinds and Splunk; generate daily/weekly performance reports.
- Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours support and incident escalation.
- Document troubleshooting steps, knowledge‑base articles and standard operating procedures.
- Assist in patch management, OS upgrades and routine maintenance of servers, virtual machines (VMware/Hyper‑V) and storage arrays.
- Coordinate with third‑party vendors for hardware warranty claims and service contracts.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, including vulnerability scanning and endpoint protection.
- Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives by suggesting automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash) and process enhancements.
**Tech Stack**: Windows Server 2016/2019, Linux (RHEL/CentOS), Active Directory, Azure AD, VMware, Hyper‑V, TCP/IP networking, DNS/DHCP, PowerShell, Bash, Splunk, ServiceNow/ITSM tools.
**Growth Path**: Successful performers can progress to Senior Technical Support Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Cloud Operations Engineer or specialize in areas such as Security Operations, Automation Engineering or Platform Architecture.
