The Junior IT Engineer role sits within the IT Service Desk, the single point of contact for all technology‑related incidents and service requests across the IIG group of companies. The position is designed for fresh graduates or early‑career professionals who are eager to gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, hybrid work environment. Working in rotating shifts that may include nights and weekends, the junior engineer will triage incoming tickets, provide first‑line support for SaaS applications, the proprietary Oliver Marketing Gateway (OMG) platform, and standard PC/Mac hardware, and ensure issues are escalated to the appropriate senior teams when necessary. The role also involves configuring new devices, managing Office 365 and other cloud services, maintaining security patches, handling software licensing, and supporting remote management tools such as Jamf Casper and TeamViewer.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Participate in a rotating shift schedule, covering out‑of‑hours and weekend support.
2. Deliver first‑line technical assistance for SaaS products, OMG, Windows and macOS workstations, and printers.
3. Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network issues, escalating complex cases appropriately.
4. Manage Office 365, cloud‑based applications and user account provisioning/de‑provisioning.
5. Set up, image and configure new laptops/desktops, install authorized software and ensure antivirus protection.
6. Maintain accurate logs of equipment, user activities and support tickets.
7. Create purchase requisitions for IT hardware/software and track licensing compliance.
8. Perform routine maintenance, security updates and patch management.
9. Support remote management using Jamf Casper and TeamViewer, and assist with new technology roll‑outs.
10. Stay updated on emerging ICT trends, ITIL best practices and internal process improvements.
The ideal candidate is pursuing or has completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related engineering discipline, is working towards Microsoft or Jamf Casper certification, and possesses strong communication skills in English. A proactive, detail‑oriented mindset, familiarity with ITIL concepts, and basic reporting skills using MS Office tools are essential. This role offers a solid foundation for a career in IT support, with clear growth pathways into senior support, system administration, or specialized cloud and security roles within a vibrant, innovation‑driven organization.
