The Resource Management Team within EY’s Tax division plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the right people are allocated to the right projects at the right time. As an EMT Staff (Entry‑Level Management Trainee) you will be part of this dynamic team, gaining hands‑on experience in resource planning, allocation, and performance tracking. This role offers a solid foundation for a career in consulting, project management, or operations within a globally recognized firm.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in resource planning activities, including analyzing project requirements, forecasting resource needs, and identifying potential gaps or conflicts.
2. Collaborate with team members to gather resource availability information, update databases, and maintain accurate records of resource allocations.
3. Support the scheduling and coordination of resources for projects, ensuring optimal utilization and alignment with project timelines.
4. Monitor and track resource allocation and utilization, providing regular updates and reports to leads and project managers.
5. Identify and resolve resource allocation conflicts, working closely with stakeholders to find suitable resolutions.
6. Contribute to process‑improvement initiatives by suggesting and implementing enhancements to streamline resource‑management workflows.
7. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to resource management, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.
8. Provide administrative support such as preparing documentation, maintaining relevant files and databases, and assisting in audit preparation.
Tech Stack & Tools: Microsoft Excel (advanced), MS PowerPoint, MS Project or similar resource‑management software, basic knowledge of Power BI or Tableau for reporting, and familiarity with collaboration tools like Teams and SharePoint.
Growth Path: Starting as an EMT Staff, high performers can progress to Analyst, Senior Analyst, Manager, and eventually Senior Manager or Partner in the Tax or Consulting practice, with opportunities to specialize in resource strategy, operations, or digital transformation.
