The role of Assistant – Valuation and Analytics Advisory (AI Specialist) sits within Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance Valuation and Analytics team. This is a Fixed Term Hire (6‑month) position that will expose fresh talent to cutting‑edge AI/ML applications in audit, financial instrument pricing, and regulatory risk assessment. You will work closely with senior auditors, data scientists and client stakeholders to evaluate AI models, design governance frameworks, and support audit procedures that rely on automated decision‑making. Key Responsibilities: 1. Assist engagement teams in identifying AI usage across client financial reporting and enterprise processes. 2. Evaluate model complexity, reliability and performance using statistical techniques, including drift analysis and year‑over‑year comparisons. 3. Review and document AI governance structures, referencing frameworks such as NIST AI RMF and ISO/IEC 42001. 4. Prepare assessment reports, maturity scorecards and remediation recommendations for clients. 5. Support audit response design and controls testing for AI‑related risks, including human‑in‑the‑loop reviews and KPI monitoring. 6. Execute substantive procedures on account balances impacted by AI‑driven estimates, automated journal entries and reconciliations. 7. Communicate technical AI/ML concepts clearly in client workshops and internal team meetings. 8. Contribute to internal knowledge‑sharing by creating training material on emerging AI trends and regulatory updates. 9. Collaborate with IT, risk and business process owners to gather data, validate model inputs and ensure data quality. 10. Stay current on AI regulatory developments (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF) and propose best‑practice enhancements for Deloitte’s audit methodology. Tech Stack: Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow), cloud ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, GCP Vertex AI), SQL, data visualization tools (PowerBI/Tableau), version control (Git) and familiarity with audit software (CaseWare, IDEA).
