The Test Analyst role is a functional testing associate position that sits at the intersection of firmware, Wi‑Fi, and embedded systems. The incumbent will be responsible for validating software applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and function reliably across multiple hardware platforms. This role offers exposure to the full product lifecycle—from requirement analysis and test strategy formulation to execution, defect triage, and automation—while working closely with firmware, hardware, cloud, and mobile app teams. Key responsibilities include: 1. Define and own the overall test strategy for firmware and Wi‑Fi features. 2. Lead and mentor a team of embedded and test engineers, providing technical guidance and code reviews. 3. Collaborate with cross‑functional product teams to embed quality at every development stage. 4. Drive test planning, estimation, risk analysis, and defect triage for multiple product releases. 5. Plan and execute functional, integration, regression, and system testing for Wi‑Fi device models (Wi‑Fi 5, 6, 7). 6. Perform network switch testing and configuration validation, covering RADIUS, GRE, AAA, QoS, and fail‑over scenarios. 7. Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using Python and integrate them into CI pipelines. 8. Utilize Wi‑Fi testing chambers, protocol analyzers, and Wireshark for deep debugging. 9. Define, track, and report quality metrics such as defect leakage, pass rate, and stability KPIs. 10. Continuously improve testing processes and tooling based on industry best practices. Tech stack: Python, Linux, Wireshark, network protocol analyzers, CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GitLab), embedded firmware environments, Wi‑Fi testing chambers, and version‑control systems.
