The Java L1 Support role is an entry‑level position that sits at the intersection of operations and development. The incumbent will be the first point of contact for production issues arising in the Manesar and Bhiwadi manufacturing plants. By translating field‑level problems into actionable technical tickets, the L1 Support engineer ensures that the core development team receives clear, reproducible information, enabling swift resolution and minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities: 1. Receive, triage, and log production incidents from warehouse supervisors and operations staff. 2. Analyse logs, database entries, and application behavior to pinpoint root causes. 3. Communicate technical details in layman’s terms to non‑technical stakeholders and gather additional context. 4. Create detailed tickets for the Core Development team, including steps to reproduce, impact assessment, and suggested priority. 5. Participate in daily bug‑triage meetings and provide status updates to management. 6. Assist in the deployment of hot‑fixes and patches during night‑shift windows (9 PM – 6 AM). 7. Maintain documentation of recurring issues, work‑arounds, and standard operating procedures. 8. Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure smooth roll‑outs of new releases. 9. Monitor system health dashboards and proactively flag potential anomalies. 10. Contribute ideas for process improvement and automation of repetitive support tasks. Tech Stack: Java (core), MySQL, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Linux/Unix, Git, Jenkins, ticketing tools (Jira/ServiceNow). Growth Path: Successful L1 engineers can progress to L2/L3 support, become Site Reliability Engineers, or transition into full‑stack development roles within Lenskart’s product teams.
