The Analyst – Data Engineering role sits within the Valuations and Analytics Group of Product Control, a specialised global team that ensures fair‑value calculations for traded instruments are accurate, compliant and transparent. As a fresher analyst, you will work closely with senior quantitative analysts, technology partners and business stakeholders to design, develop and maintain data pipelines that feed critical valuation models. The position offers a unique blend of finance and engineering, giving you exposure to real‑world financial data, regulatory requirements and cutting‑edge technology stacks. Key Responsibilities: 1. Build and maintain automated solutions using Python, SQL and VBA to improve controls and analytical processes. 2. Develop and support micro‑service‑driven components within the Product Control strategic infrastructure. 3. Ensure seamless integration and deployment in collaboration with the Technology department. 4. Provide day‑to‑day support to Product Control users and act as a bridge between engineering and business teams. 5. Lead projects to standardise, streamline and automate data workflows across Front Office, Product Control, Independent Model Review and Market Risk Management. 6. Investigate short‑term issues and propose innovative, long‑term solutions for trade data analysis and management. 7. Participate in the development of a Citizen Developer framework that enables reusable, low‑code components. 8. Coordinate development efforts across global PC Analytics teams, ensuring alignment with regulatory and policy requirements. 9. Conduct testing, documentation and version control using Git and Jira, following test‑driven development practices. 10. Continuously monitor data quality, performance and scalability of the solutions you build. Tech Stack: Python (pandas, OOP), SQL, VBA, Git, Jira, micro‑service architecture, basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus. Growth Path: Starting as an Analyst, you can progress to Senior Analyst, Lead Data Engineer, and eventually to Manager or Director roles within Product Control or broader Technology functions.
