The Testing‑WAM (Workforce Automation & Management) Off‑Campus role is part of EY’s Testing Services practice within GDS. The position offers exposure to a variety of testing methodologies, from functional and user‑acceptance testing to automation, and provides a solid foundation for a career in technology consulting.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Execute functional, regression, and user‑acceptance testing for client applications.
2. Develop and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data based on requirement documents.
3. Identify, log, and track defects using defect‑management tools and work closely with development teams for resolution.
4. Participate in test planning sessions, estimate testing effort, and contribute to test strategy discussions.
5. Perform API and database validation using SQL queries and basic scripting.
6. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (developers, business analysts, project managers) to ensure seamless delivery.
7. Contribute to the creation of test documentation, including test summary reports and metrics.
8. Stay updated with emerging testing tools and best practices, recommending improvements where applicable.
9. Support automation initiatives by scripting simple test cases in Java/Python or using low‑code tools.
10. Adhere to EY’s quality standards and compliance guidelines throughout the testing lifecycle.
**Tech Stack**: Java, .Net, Python, SQL/Oracle/Teradata, JIRA, HP ALM/QTest, Selenium (basic), REST APIs, Agile/Scrum methodology.
**Growth Path**: Starting as a Testing Analyst, high performers can progress to Senior Analyst, Test Lead, Delivery Manager, and eventually to roles such as Technology Consultant or Manager within EY’s Consulting practice.
