📋 About the Role
JPMorgan Chase, a 200‑year‑old financial powerhouse, operates across investment banking, consumer banking, commercial banking, asset management and payment processing. In India, the firm has a strong presence in major metros, driving digital innovation and delivering world‑class financial solutions to millions of customers. The Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) division focuses on personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing and small‑business services, consistently ranking at the top for credit‑card sales, deposit growth and customer satisfaction in the United States. Its Indian operations support the global ecosystem through data analytics, technology development, risk management and operational excellence.
The role of Associate Business Analyst – Data & Reporting sits within the Control Management Shared Services team of CCB. As a strategic thinker, you will translate complex business problems into data‑driven solutions, build robust reporting pipelines, and enable stakeholders to make informed decisions. You will work closely with product owners, data engineers, and technology partners to ensure data quality, develop actionable insights, and continuously improve the analytical framework that underpins the division’s performance monitoring.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Extracting, cleaning, and analyzing large data sets from multiple internal sources to uncover trends and actionable insights.
2. Converting business requirements into detailed technical specifications for data pipelines and reporting solutions.
3. Designing, building, and maintaining relational datasets that feed dashboards and operational reports.
4. Partnering with business stakeholders to drive end‑to‑end delivery of data and reporting initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.
5. Communicating progress, managing expectations, and proactively flagging risks or issues to senior leadership.
6. Assessing change requests, performing impact analysis across data, systems, and processes.
7. Developing and maintaining interactive dashboards (Tableau/Alteryx/SSRS) to monitor key performance indicators, project status, and operational health.
8. Participating in release cycles, coordinating with technology teams, and delivering release notes to stakeholders.
9. Executing core processes such as sampling, production support, and reporting to guarantee data reliability.
10. Monitoring process health, implementing early‑warning controls, and troubleshooting data, system, or reporting anomalies.
Tech stack: SQL, Python (or R/SAS), Tableau, Alteryx, SSRS, Excel, Visio, Jira, SharePoint, and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL). Familiarity with Agile methodologies and data‑quality frameworks is a plus.
Growth path: Starting as an Associate Business Analyst, high performers can progress to Business Analyst, Senior Analyst, Data Product Owner, and eventually to Manager or Lead roles within the analytics and risk‑control ecosystem. The role offers exposure to global best practices, mentorship from senior banking professionals, and opportunities to work on large‑scale transformation projects.
Why join JPMorgan Chase CCB? You will be part of a globally recognized brand that invests heavily in technology and talent development. The firm offers structured learning programs, certifications, and a collaborative culture that encourages continuous improvement. As an early‑career professional, you will gain hands‑on experience with cutting‑edge analytics tools, work on mission‑critical financial data, and build a network across multiple business functions, setting a solid foundation for a long‑term career in finance and analytics.
