Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering (BE/BTech). No backlog allowed. Minimum 60% aggregate in final year (if applicable). Fresh graduates are welcome.

The Applications and Systems Engineer 1 role is a fresh‑fresher position that places you at the heart of Emerson’s bid management and pre‑sales activities. You will work closely with internal and external customers to understand their application requirements and propose the best product resolution. Your responsibilities include preparing quality offers in coordination with Business Development Managers, sales teams, legal, PMO and factory PSQ’s, attending pre‑ and post‑order technical meetings, maintaining CRM data, and ensuring timely submission of offers with proper Delegation of Authority compliance. Key responsibilities: 1. Collaborate with sales, BDMs, PMO and factory teams to gather customer requirements. 2. Select appropriate isolation valves, size actuators and price field equipment. 3. Draft and submit offers, ensuring all approvals and DOA compliance. 4. Provide pre‑sales technical support to customers, partners and distributors. 5. Attend pre‑ and post‑order technical meetings. 6. Keep CRM data updated and accurate. 7. Review project requirements and seek clarifications before offer submission. 8. Ensure on‑time offer delivery and quality. 9. Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats. 10. Use MS Office tools for documentation and presentations. Tech stack and knowledge areas: Valve selection, actuator sizing, isolation valve products, testing (destructive/non‑destructive), metallurgy, material science, fluid mechanics, CRM systems, MS Office. Growth path: Starting as an Applications Engineer, you can progress to Senior Engineer, Lead Engineer, or Manager roles within the Sales Systems Engineering domain, with opportunities to specialize in product development, technical consulting or global project management.
