The Agentic AI Interfaces team is a fast‑growing unit within Seismic that builds intelligent search and recommendation services for the Seismic platform. As a Software Engineer I, you will be part of a collaborative, cross‑functional group that designs, implements, and maintains backend micro‑services powering search, content discovery, and generative‑AI features. You will work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and UI/UX designers to translate business requirements into reliable, scalable code while gaining exposure to modern cloud‑native practices.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Design, develop, and maintain backend micro‑services that support search indexing, retrieval, and ranking.
2. Implement API endpoints using C#/.NET and ensure they meet performance SLAs.
3. Write efficient PostgreSQL queries and optimize database interactions for low latency.
4. Collaborate with front‑end teams to integrate search results into React‑based user interfaces.
5. Participate in code reviews, unit testing (xUnit), and automated testing with Postman.
6. Assist in containerizing services with Docker and deploying them on Kubernetes clusters.
7. Contribute to performance monitoring, bottleneck analysis, and tuning using tools such as New Relic.
8. Explore and prototype AI‑driven features like RAG, semantic search, and LLM‑based assistants.
9. Document design decisions, API contracts, and operational runbooks.
10. Engage with the China team for cross‑timezone collaboration and knowledge sharing.
**Tech Stack**: C#/.NET, PostgreSQL, Redis (optional), Docker, Kubernetes, React, Azure/AWS, xUnit, Terraform (IaC), Kafka (event‑driven), Elasticsearch (search), Git, CI/CD pipelines.
