The Analyst, Cash Operations role is an entry‑level position designed for recent graduates who are passionate about cash management, reconciliation, and financial data analysis. As part of the Cash Operations team in Mumbai, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of cash and asset position reporting, troubleshooting discrepancies, and supporting automation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include:
1. Perform daily reconciliations of cash and asset positions, investigating and resolving any mismatches.
2. Review and address cash‑position exceptions, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
3. Publish accurate cash figures for internal and external reporting.
4. Conduct data analysis to improve transparency, decision‑making, and operational efficiency.
5. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to track issue progress and closure.
6. Develop expertise in team control mechanisms and reporting frameworks.
7. Identify, prioritize, and coordinate handling of critical customer concerns.
8. Actively contribute in team meetings, discussing risk indicators and process improvements.
9. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements governing reconciliation activities.
10. Evaluate existing systems and procedures, recommending enhancements and automation opportunities.
The tech stack typically includes advanced MS Excel, VBA scripting, SQL for data extraction, and exposure to Bloomberg or similar market data platforms. Familiarity with Python for data manipulation is a plus.
