In India, the bank has built a strong reputation for innovative banking solutions, robust risk management, and a commitment to digital transformation. The organization emphasizes a culture of inclusion, continuous learning, and ethical conduct, making it an attractive destination for fresh talent seeking exposure to world‑class banking operations. Barclays’ Indian operations, especially in Bengaluru, serve as a hub for technology, analytics, and data‑driven product development, supporting the bank’s global strategy. The Data & Record Governance Analyst role is designed for fresh graduates who are passionate about data quality, governance, and the banking domain. As a member of the Data Integration product team, you will work on creating and maintaining data products for loan and savings portfolios, ensuring that all data assets comply with global regulatory standards such as GDRMS and NFRR. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to build governance frameworks, perform data profiling, and support the implementation of master data management (MDM) solutions. Key responsibilities include: 1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive data and records governance framework aligned with regulatory requirements. 2. Monitor data quality metrics and ensure compliance across all data domains. 3. Identify and remediate data governance risks and gaps. 4. Implement records management programmes covering classification, retention, and disposal. 5. Create and update data glossaries, lineage diagrams, and governance checklists. 6. Conduct data profiling and quality analysis using SQL and data‑warehouse tools. 7. Support the design and rollout of data products for loans and savings. 8. Growth path: Starting as an Analyst, high performers can progress to Senior Analyst, Data Governance Lead, and eventually to Managerial roles overseeing enterprise‑wide data strategy. Barclays offers structured learning programs, certifications, and rotational opportunities across domains. Why join Barclays? You will gain exposure to a multinational banking environment, work on real‑world data products that affect millions of customers, and benefit from a culture that values mentorship, diversity, and continuous upskilling. The Bengaluru office provides a vibrant, tech‑centric atmosphere with ample networking and career development prospects.
