As a Software Engineer on this team, you will design, develop, and maintain highly scalable storage components that handle exabytes of data today and will be ready for zettascale volumes tomorrow. Key Responsibilities: 1. Gather and analyse user requirements in collaboration with product owners and architects. 2. Draft detailed design documents and identify dependencies for new storage features. 3. Write clean, efficient, and testable code in languages such as C++, C#, Java, or Python. 4. Reuse existing components and libraries to accelerate development and maintain consistency. 5. Break large epics into manageable work items, provide accurate estimations, and track progress. 6. Serve as the Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) on‑call, monitoring service health and responding to incidents. 7. Continuously improve observability, logging, and automated remediation for the storage platform. 8. Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices to enhance reliability, performance, and scalability. 9. Contribute to technical documentation, API specifications, and operational runbooks. 10. Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews to uphold quality standards. Tech Stack: Azure Storage APIs, C++, C#, Java, Python, RESTful services, gRPC, Kubernetes, Docker, Azure DevOps, Prometheus/Grafana for monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.
