The KYB Operations Analyst role sits at the heart of MoonPay’s compliance engine. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the analyst will own the end‑to‑end onboarding of corporate partners, ensuring every new and existing partner meets stringent Know‑Your‑Business (KYB), Know‑Your‑Customer (KYC) and Anti‑Money‑Laundering (AML) standards. The position blends investigative research, risk assessment, and cross‑functional collaboration, offering a unique window into the regulatory challenges of the crypto ecosystem while allowing the analyst to shape scalable processes. Key responsibilities include: 1. Conducting comprehensive KYB reviews for new and existing partners, gathering documentation, verifying authenticity and assessing risk against internal policies and global regulations. 2. Mapping complex corporate structures to identify ultimate beneficial owners and flag potential red flags. 3. Performing adverse media, sanctions and watch‑list screenings to gauge financial‑crime exposure. 4. Evaluating partner business models and product offerings for compliance alignment. 5. Providing timely, professional support to corporate customers on onboarding queries and compliance clarifications. 6. Partnering with Legal, Sales and Risk teams to manage escalations and resolve high‑risk cases. 7. Acting as the subject‑matter expert for KYB, guiding internal stakeholders and BPO partners. 8. Continuously improving KYB workflows through data‑driven analysis and documentation. 9. Supporting KYC onboarding and conducting Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for higher‑risk entities. 10. Contributing to compliance‑related projects, training sessions and knowledge‑share initiatives.
