The role of Analyst – Consulting Implementation is positioned at the heart of the SOC, where fresh talent works alongside seasoned security professionals to monitor, analyse and remediate security alerts. As a junior analyst, you will get hands‑on exposure to industry‑leading SIEM platforms such as Azure Sentinel, RSA, Splunk and LogRhythm, and will contribute to the creation of actionable intelligence that protects critical business assets. Key responsibilities include: 1. Actively monitor and triage SIEM alerts generated from correlation rules, email protection and malware detection. 2. Conduct initial malware analysis and phishing email investigations for major financial institutions. 3. Perform threat‑hunting activities on network flow, user behaviour and external threat intelligence feeds. 5. Raise and document incidents in the tracking tool, ensuring accurate escalation and follow‑up. 6. Follow incident‑response playbooks and assist senior analysts in handling complex security events. 7. Analyse logs (HTTP, SMTP, network) under guidance and identify deviations from standard SOC processes. 8. Record process deviations, generate trend reports and recommend corrective actions. 9. Participate in quality‑assessment initiatives across multiple SOC verticals, supporting continuous improvement. 10. Produce clear investigation reports with evidence, assertions and recommended remediation steps. The tech stack revolves around Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Defender suite, Python scripting for automation, Windows Active Directory, and familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS). Strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to work in rotational shifts are essential.
