The Test Analyst role is a critical part of Cognizant’s embedded systems and networking practice. As a functional testing associate, you will be responsible for validating firmware, Wi‑Fi, and network switch features to ensure they meet stringent business and technical requirements. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams—including firmware, hardware, cloud, mobile app and product managers—to embed quality throughout the product lifecycle. The position offers exposure to cutting‑edge Wi‑Fi standards (Wi‑Fi 5, 6, 7), network security protocols, and automation frameworks, making it an ideal launchpad for fresh engineering graduates interested in embedded and networking domains. Key Responsibilities: 1. Define and own the overall test strategy for firmware and Wi‑Fi features. 2. Lead and mentor a small team of embedded and test engineers, providing technical guidance and code reviews. 3. Collaborate with firmware, hardware, cloud, mobile app and product teams to ensure quality at every development stage. 4. Drive test planning, estimation, risk analysis and defect triage for multiple product releases. 5. Plan and execute functional, integration, regression and system testing for Wi‑Fi device models. 6. Perform network switch testing, configuration validation and feature verification such as RADIUS, GRE, AAA, QoS and failover scenarios. 7. Develop and maintain test automation scripts using Python and integrate them into CI pipelines. 8. Utilize Wireshark, protocol analyzers and Wi‑Fi testing chambers for deep debugging. 9. Define, track and report quality metrics like defect leakage, pass rate, stability and KPIs. 10. Continuously improve testing processes and tooling based on industry best practices. Tech Stack: Python, PyTest, Selenium (for UI), CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GitLab), Wireshark, RF testing chambers, Linux, Git, REST APIs.
