📋 About the Role
HSBC is one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organisations, operating in over 60 countries and serving more than 40 million customers. With a heritage that spans over 150 years, the bank has built a reputation for stability, innovation and a strong commitment to sustainable finance. In India, HSBC combines global best practices with local market insight, offering a dynamic environment where fresh talent can grow alongside seasoned professionals. The company’s culture emphasizes diversity, inclusion, continuous learning and a collaborative spirit, making it an attractive destination for ambitious graduates.
The Enterprise Talent Apprentice role is positioned within the Talent Acquisition team of HSBC’s Human Resources department. This 12‑month fixed‑term apprenticeship is designed for fresh graduates who are eager to develop end‑to‑end recruitment capabilities, with a special focus on proactive sourcing. As an apprentice, you will work closely with senior HR leaders, business heads and hiring managers, acting as a bridge between talent markets and the organisation’s hiring needs. The role offers hands‑on exposure to executive search, talent mapping, succession planning and the full lifecycle of hiring, while also providing a solid grounding in HR tools and AI‑enabled sourcing platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Delivering sourcing assignments such as executive search, talent pooling and succession planning.
2. Proactively sourcing candidates through internal databases, LinkedIn, job boards and web search.
3. Designing and executing sourcing plans for specific hiring projects.
4. Assisting in drafting offer letters, managing onboarding and supporting recruiters with operational tasks.
5. Coordinating pre‑employment vetting and ensuring compliance with internal policies.
6. Monitoring market trends, competitor hiring practices and regional talent dynamics.
7. Creating bespoke recruitment campaigns for high‑impact hiring drives.
8. Partnering with Resourcing Specialists and hiring managers from brief to offer.
9. Defining and promoting the Employer Value Proposition for each assignment.
10. Tracking metrics against deliverables and providing insights to Talent Acquisition leadership.
The tech stack for the role includes ATS platforms (e.g., Workday), AI‑driven sourcing tools, LinkedIn Recruiter, and basic data‑analysis tools such as Excel or Power BI. Successful apprentices can expect a clear growth path: after the apprenticeship, high‑performers may be offered full‑time Analyst or Associate positions within HR, with opportunities to specialise in talent strategy, employer branding or learning & development. Joining HSBC means gaining access to a global network, structured learning programmes, mentorship from senior HR professionals and a supportive environment that values diversity and career progression.
