Key responsibilities include: 1. Actively monitor, analyze, and escalate SIEM alerts using Azure Sentinel, RSA, Splunk or LogRhythm. 2. Perform email protection and malware analysis, including phishing investigations for financial institutions. 3. Contribute to proactive content fine‑tuning and use‑case enablement for threat detection. 4. Conduct threat hunting on network flow, user behavior, and threat‑intel feeds. 5. Follow incident response playbooks, triage incidents, and raise tickets in tracking tools. 6. Comprehend and interpret logs (HTTP, SMTP, network) under guidance. 7. Record process deviations, perform root‑cause analysis, and suggest improvements. 8. Generate trend reports, graphical dashboards, and performance recommendations. 9. Support QA touchpoints during critical cyber incidents to ensure service quality. 10. Collaborate with SOC verticals to align operations and accelerate detection. Tech stack: Azure Sentinel, RSA/Splunk/LogRhythm, Python scripting, Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Defender for Office/Identity, AWS/Azure infrastructure basics, Microsoft Office suite for reporting. Growth path: Starting as an Analyst, high performers can progress to SOC Engineer, Senior Consultant, and eventually Manager or Director within KPMG’s Advisory practice, gaining exposure to large‑scale digital transformation projects. Why join KPMG? You will work in a globally recognized firm that invests heavily in training, certifications, and mentorship. The role offers exposure to cutting‑edge security technologies and real‑world incident handling, laying a solid foundation for a thriving career in cyber security.
