✅ Eligibility Criteria
Graduating engineering students from Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics (EEE), Civil or Electronics Engineering. Minimum 50% aggregate in 10th, 12th and engineering. No backlogs or ATKTs. Maximum 2 years educational gap allowed. Must be from the 2024, 2025 or 2026 batch. The Graduate Apprentice Trainee program is a structured, paid apprenticeship designed for fresh engineering graduates of the 2024‑2026 batches. The program offers a monthly stipend of INR 25,000 and provides hands‑on exposure across multiple business units, including Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain Management, Quality, Manufacturing Planning and automotive component development. Apprentices rotate through different functions, gaining a holistic view of automobile operations while building technical competence and professional soft skills. Key Responsibilities: 1. Assist senior engineers in daily production and maintenance activities on the shop floor. 2. Participate in quality inspections, data collection and root‑cause analysis. 3. Support supply‑chain teams in part procurement, inventory tracking and vendor coordination. 4. Contribute to manufacturing planning by preparing schedules, monitoring KPIs and suggesting process improvements. 5. Help in the preparation of technical documentation, standard operating procedures and compliance reports. 6. Engage in cross‑functional projects to solve real‑time production challenges using problem‑solving tools such as 5‑Why and Fishbone analysis. 7. Attend training sessions on emerging automotive technologies, Industry 4.0, and safety standards. 8. Collaborate with the R&D team to understand component design and testing protocols. 9. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives like Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma. 10. Maintain accurate logs of work performed, hours spent and learning outcomes for performance reviews. Tech Stack & Tools: Basic knowledge of CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), MS Office, PLC basics, data analytics tools (Excel, PowerBI), and familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) are advantageous. The apprenticeship also includes exposure to industry‑standard quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. Growth Path: Successful apprentices may be offered full‑time positions as Junior Engineers or Process Engineers, with clear career ladders towards senior technical and managerial roles within Tata Motors.
