The Graduate Engineering Trainee role is designed for recent engineering graduates who are eager to start their professional journey in quality engineering and manufacturing. As a trainee, you will be immersed in the day‑to‑day operations of the production floor, learning to apply standard operating procedures (SOPs) and control plans to ensure that every component meets stringent quality standards. You will work closely with senior engineers, gain hands‑on experience with Fanuc robot stations, and contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives that drive SPML's operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: 1. Perform Incoming, In‑Process, and Final Quality inspections as per SOPs and control plans. 2. Inspect prismatic cells, welding quality, alignment, IR/OCV, and traceability parameters. 3. Monitor quality at Fanuc robot stations, automated welding, and assembly lines. 4. Conduct root‑cause analysis (5 Why, Fishbone) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for defects and deviations. 5. Maintain documentation including SOPs, work instructions, QC plans, MSA, GR&R, and audit reports. 6. Ensure calibration of gauges, fixtures, and critical process equipment. 7. Support supplier quality checks and assist in customer complaint analysis. 8. Participate in internal audits and drive compliance with ISO and industry standards. 9. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve process capability and reduce scrap. 10. Prepare daily and weekly quality reports for management review. Tech Stack & Tools: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Statistical Process Control (SPC) software, Minitab, Calipers & Micrometers, Fanuc robot programming interface, MS Office Suite, and basic data analysis tools.
