📋 About the Role
Nutrabay is one of India’s fastest‑growing e‑commerce platforms dedicated to nutrition, supplements, and health‑food products. Founded in 2015, the company has built a robust supply chain and a data‑driven decision‑making culture that powers its nationwide operations. With a focus on customer wellness, Nutrabay continuously invests in technology to optimise inventory, pricing, and user experience, making it an attractive destination for analytics talent. The firm’s leadership believes that actionable insights are the cornerstone of sustainable growth, and therefore offers interns real responsibility rather than peripheral tasks.
As a Data Analyst Intern, you will be immersed in the core analytics team that supports senior leadership, product managers, and operations heads. The role is designed to give you hands‑on exposure to end‑to‑end data pipelines – from extracting raw transactional data to visualising business‑critical metrics in Power BI. You will work on live projects that influence product launches, inventory planning, and marketing campaigns, allowing you to see the direct impact of your analyses on the company’s bottom line.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Designing, building, and maintaining interactive dashboards and periodic reports for senior leadership.
2. Writing complex SQL queries to extract, join, and transform data from multiple business domains such as sales, inventory, and user behaviour.
3. Collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders to understand business problems and deliver data‑driven answers.
4. Ensuring data quality, establishing clear definitions, and maintaining metric consistency across the organization.
5. Conducting ad‑hoc analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and growth opportunities.
6. Assisting in the creation of data models that support predictive analytics and A/B testing.
7. Documenting analytical processes and presenting findings in clear, visual formats using Power BI or similar tools.
8. Supporting the team with basic statistical analysis and, where applicable, Python scripting for deeper insights.
The tech stack revolves around SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL), Power BI, Excel, and introductory Python for data manipulation. You will also get exposure to version control (Git) and basic cloud data warehousing concepts. Successful interns often transition to full‑time Data Analyst or Business Intelligence roles, with clear growth paths into senior analytics, data engineering, or product analytics tracks. Joining Nutrabay means you will be part of a high‑learning environment, receive mentorship from seasoned data professionals, and gain a portfolio of real‑world projects that boost employability across the analytics ecosystem.
