📋 About the Role
GIA (Global Internal Audit) is the technology‑driven arm of Swiss Re’s audit function, dedicated to modernising how audits are performed across the organisation. With a strong emphasis on data‑centric solutions, GIA blends deep domain expertise in risk and compliance with cutting‑edge analytics, AI, and cloud platforms. The team operates in a collaborative environment where curiosity, continuous learning, and a passion for impact are celebrated. Employees are encouraged to experiment, share knowledge, and grow into future leaders of the insurance and financial services industry. The Digital & Management Information team sits at the heart of GIA’s transformation journey. It is responsible for building data pipelines, creating visual dashboards, and delivering actionable insights that help auditors make faster, smarter decisions. By leveraging large‑scale data processing, advanced visualisation, and emerging AI techniques, the team turns raw audit data into strategic intelligence for senior leadership. The role is ideal for fresh graduates or early‑career professionals who thrive on solving real‑world business problems with data. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Design, develop, and maintain SQL queries and data models to extract, transform, and load large audit datasets. 2. Build interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau or Power BI that translate complex data into clear business insights. 3. Collaborate with audit managers to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure solutions meet business needs. 4. Conduct data quality checks, validation, and documentation to guarantee reliability of analytical outputs. 5. Participate in agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes. 6. Support post‑deployment monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancements of analytical applications. 7. Identify trends, patterns, and risk indicators across audit data and propose proactive recommendations. 8. Stay updated on emerging technologies such as Generative AI and evaluate their applicability to audit analytics. 9. Mentor junior analysts and share best practices across the team. 10. Prepare and present findings to senior stakeholders with confidence and clarity. **Tech Stack:** SQL, Python (pandas, numpy), Tableau / Power BI, Git, JIRA, Scrum, cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse). **Growth Path:** Starting as a Data Analyst, high performers can progress to Senior Analyst, Analytics Lead, and eventually to Manager or Director of Digital Analytics within GIA, with opportunities to work on global projects and cross‑functional initiatives. **Why Join GIA?** The role offers exposure to a global insurance leader, hands‑on experience with large‑scale data, and a culture that rewards innovation. Employees benefit from mentorship, structured learning programs, and a hybrid work model that balances collaboration with flexibility. Joining GIA means being part of a forward‑thinking team that directly influences the future of audit technology.
