As a technician, you will work closely with senior engineers and production teams to ensure that electro‑mechanical equipment runs smoothly, minimizing downtime and supporting high‑volume chip fabrication. Key responsibilities include: 1. Performing electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on non‑functioning electro‑mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. 2. Dismantling, adjusting, repairing and re‑assembling equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, and rough sketches. 3. Using test and diagnostic equipment to conduct thorough check‑outs and verify equipment performance. 4. Rebuilding manufacturing equipment as required to restore operational capability. 5. Assisting engineers with equipment modifications and upgrades as directed. 6. Maintaining accurate logs of maintenance activities, parts used and test results. 7. Ensuring compliance with safety standards and clean‑room protocols during all interventions. 8. Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to identify root‑cause issues and propose preventive measures. 9. Participating in regular calibration and preventive maintenance schedules. 10. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on equipment design and reliability. The technical stack for this role includes basic knowledge of PLCs, multimeters, oscilloscopes, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, as well as familiarity with CAD drawings and equipment manuals.
