📋 About the Role
Ernst & Young (EY) is one of the world’s leading professional services firms, offering assurance, tax, advisory and transaction services to a diverse set of global clients. With a strong presence in India, EY is known for its commitment to building a better working world through innovation, sustainability and inclusive growth. The firm invests heavily in learning platforms, mentorship programmes and global mobility, enabling fresh talent to acquire industry‑leading skills early in their careers.
The Analyst role in the National Forensics – ASU, Investigations & Compliance team is based in Noida and focuses on background verification (BGV) operations. As an entry‑level professional, you will be the first line of defence ensuring that candidate information is accurate, authentic and compliant with regulatory standards. The position blends administrative precision with client‑facing communication, offering a solid foundation for a career in forensic services, risk management or broader advisory functions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Review and validate documents submitted for background verification, checking for completeness, authenticity and compliance.
2. Conduct outbound calls to candidates to gather missing information, clarify discrepancies and provide status updates.
3. Cross‑check educational, employment and identity records against internal checklists and client requirements.
4. Follow established investigation and compliance processes, escalating any red flags to senior analysts.
5. Maintain detailed logs of verification activities, ensuring traceability and audit readiness.
6. Coordinate with internal teams and external verification agencies to expedite pending checks.
7. Prepare daily and weekly reports on verification turnaround times and issue trends.
8. Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements based on observed bottlenecks.
9. Adhere to data privacy and confidentiality norms while handling sensitive personal information.
10. Participate in training sessions on forensic tools, compliance regulations and communication best practices.
The role does not demand a specific technical stack but expects proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), familiarity with document management systems and basic knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, Indian IT Act). EY provides structured learning pathways, allowing analysts to upskill in forensic analytics, risk assessment and client advisory. Over time, high‑performing analysts can progress to Senior Analyst, Team Lead, and eventually Manager positions within the Forensics practice, with opportunities to rotate across audit, advisory or tax domains.
Why join EY? Apart from a competitive salary, EY offers a vibrant work culture that encourages continuous learning, mentorship from industry experts and exposure to global best practices. Freshers get a clear career roadmap, access to EY’s digital learning hub, and the chance to work on projects that impact real‑world business decisions. This role is ideal for candidates who are detail‑oriented, possess strong communication skills and are eager to start a career in a globally respected professional services firm.
