📋 About the Role
Husky Technologies is a fast‑growing engineering solutions provider headquartered in India, with a strong focus on product development, automation and advanced manufacturing. The company prides itself on delivering cutting‑edge mechanical and electromechanical systems to a diverse client base ranging from automotive OEMs to industrial equipment manufacturers. With a culture that encourages innovation, continuous learning and cross‑functional collaboration, Husky has built a reputation for nurturing fresh talent and turning them into industry‑ready engineers.
As a Designer, Development – Mechanical at Husky Technologies, you will be an integral part of the product development lifecycle. You will work closely with senior engineers, design specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to conceptualise, model, analyse, and validate new mechanical products. The role offers exposure to the entire spectrum of mechanical design – from initial sketches to detailed 3D models, component selection, engineering calculations, GD&T drawing preparation, and prototype testing. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to apply theoretical knowledge in a real‑world, fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with engineers and design specialists to develop new product concepts.
2. Create and refine 3D models of parts and assemblies using CAD tools such as Unigraphics, SolidWorks or CATIA.
3. Perform engineering calculations, FEA, thermal and dynamic analysis to validate designs.
4. Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, assembly and testing requirements.
5. Select appropriate components (motors, sensors, bearings, gearboxes, pneumatic/hydraulic parts) and materials based on standards.
6. Prepare detailed engineering drawings with GD&T and generate technical documentation.
7. Support prototype development, test planning, and analysis of test results.
8. Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions and risk mitigation activities like FMEA.
9. Work closely with cross‑functional teams including Electrical, Software, Fluid Power, Metallurgy and Validation.
10. Continuously research emerging technologies and propose improvements to existing design processes.
Tech Stack: Unigraphics/3D CAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, ANSYS or similar FEA tools, MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), GD&T standards, basic knowledge of PLCs and sensor interfaces.
Growth Path: Junior Mechanical Designer → Senior Mechanical Designer → Lead Designer → Project Manager or Technical Lead, with opportunities to move into product management or R&D leadership roles.
Why Join Husky: You will gain hands‑on experience in end‑to‑end product development, work with a supportive team that values learning, and have access to mentorship from seasoned engineers. The company’s emphasis on innovation and quality ensures that you will be part of projects that have real market impact, accelerating your professional growth.
