As a Silicon Engineer within the Consumer Hardware team, you will participate in the design, verification, prototyping, and silicon implementation of ASICs and SoCs across various product lines. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with SoC architecture teams to design power-optimized and performance-tuned microchips. Contribute actively to the design, functional verification, and physical silicon implementation of custom ASICs and complex SoCs. Develop design concepts centered around CPUs, image signal processors (ISPs), machine learning accelerators, computer vision, video hardware, and hardware-level security modules. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to automate digital design flows and EDA tool pipelines. Participate in prototyping, post-silicon analysis, and collaboration with foundry vendors to ensure seamless tape-out and volume manufacturing. Eligibility Criteria & Technical Skill Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), or a relevant technical discipline / equivalent practical experience. Foundational knowledge of hardware architecture, digital circuit design concepts, and computer organization. Preferred Qualifications & Skills: Hands-on internship experience, personal project work, or academic lab work in Hardware, Electrical Engineering, or VLSI design. Exposure to key semiconductor engineering domains: SoC/ASIC Design, Design Verification (DV), Physical Design (PD), or Design for Testability (DFT). Experience writing hardware description language code using Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL. Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl) for automated chip design workflows.
