📋 About the Role
AlphaSense is a global market‑intelligence platform that leverages proprietary AI to help enterprises make data‑driven decisions. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in New York City, the company now employs over 2,000 professionals across the US, UK, Finland, India, Singapore, Canada and Ireland. AlphaSense’s core product aggregates public and private content—equity research, SEC filings, earnings call transcripts, news, trade journals and client‑owned research—into a searchable knowledge base that powers over 6,000 enterprise customers, many of which belong to the S&P 500. In 2024 the firm acquired Tegus, expanding its coverage of private‑company data and strengthening its AI‑driven insight engine.
The Content organization at AlphaSense is the engine that fuels this knowledge base. It is responsible for sourcing, licensing, curating and engineering both structured and unstructured data from a mix of internal research and third‑party providers. The team works under the Chief Content Officer and collaborates closely with product managers, engineers, and external vendors to ensure that every piece of content is accurately ingested, classified and made searchable. The group is currently scaling rapidly, especially in the Transactions and Funding Rounds vertical, where timely, high‑quality data on M&A deals, capital raises and venture‑backed funding is critical for AlphaSense’s customers.
As a Content Analyst you will sit in the Content Operations hub and act as the bridge between raw financial documents and the AI‑powered extraction pipeline. You will identify new sources, evaluate their relevance, onboard them into the system, configure automated ingestion workflows, and continuously monitor data quality. You will also handle edge‑case exceptions that require manual review, generate usage reports, and provide third‑level support for content‑related queries. The role offers exposure to large‑language‑model technologies, advanced data‑extraction pipelines, and a fast‑moving fintech environment, making it an ideal launchpad for a career in financial data engineering or product management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Research and analyse internal/external sources to uncover disclosure patterns for M&A transactions and funding rounds.
2. Design and maintain frameworks that streamline content onboarding and classification.
3. Support AI‑driven event classification and information‑extraction pipelines, handling edge cases manually.
4. Track processing states, generate content generation and usage reports, and maintain detailed logs of issues and resolutions.
5. Perform quality assurance by reviewing documents for correct categorisation, tagging and metadata consistency.
6. Provide 3rd‑level support: raise tickets, coordinate with engineering, product managers and content vendors to resolve issues.
7. Propose innovative troubleshooting methods and automation ideas to improve pipeline efficiency.
8. Document SOPs, policies and best‑practice guides for content generation and support.
9. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align content strategy with product roadmaps.
10. Stay updated on capital‑markets trends, corporate finance concepts and emerging AI technologies.
Tech Stack & Tools: Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides), Advanced Excel, SQL for basic querying, Python scripts for data validation, API‑based content ingestion, AI/ML models (large language models) for classification, and internal proprietary content‑management platforms.
Growth Path: Starting as a Content Analyst, high performers can progress to Senior Analyst, Content Operations Lead, or move laterally into Product Management, Data Engineering or AI‑Product roles within AlphaSense’s global ecosystem.
Why Join AlphaSense? You will work at the intersection of finance and cutting‑edge AI, gaining hands‑on experience with large‑scale data pipelines used by Fortune‑500 firms. The company’s rapid growth, global footprint and culture of transparency provide ample learning opportunities, mentorship from industry veterans, and a clear pathway to senior roles. Moreover, the remote‑first model offers flexibility while still connecting you to a vibrant, collaborative international team.
