The Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) – Port Cranes Engineering role is an entry‑level opportunity designed for fresh Mechanical or Production Engineering graduates who aspire to build a career in heavy‑machinery design and manufacturing. Based out of the SP Infocity campus in Hadapsar, Pune, the position offers a hybrid work model with the flexibility to work from home. Trainees will be mentored by senior engineers and will rotate through design, analysis, and production support functions, gaining hands‑on exposure to the complete product lifecycle of port cranes.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Learn and apply core engineering principles to design port crane components and subsystems.
2. Create, modify, and review 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, NX, and Teamcenter.
3. Assist in preparing design documentation, bill of materials, and technical reports adhering to company standards.
4. Apply GD&T concepts to ensure dimensional accuracy and manufacturability.
5. Support manufacturing teams by understanding fabrication techniques, welding processes, and assembly procedures.
6. Participate in cross‑functional design reviews and provide feedback on feasibility and cost.
7. Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives, root‑cause analysis, and engineering innovation projects.
8. Follow ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance requirements, maintaining safety and environmental standards.
9. Attend structured training programs, workshops, and mentorship sessions to accelerate technical growth.
10. Document lessons learned and share knowledge with peers to build a collaborative engineering community.
