🎤 Interview Experience
Swiggy’s interview process typically begins with a timed online coding test focusing on arrays, strings, and algorithmic problem solving. Successful candidates move to a technical interview where they discuss iOS fundamentals, design patterns, and may be asked to write code on a whiteboard or shared editor. The final HR round evaluates cultural fit, communication skills, and alignment with Swiggy’s values. Preparation should include strong Swift knowledge, system design basics, and mock coding sessions.

Swiggy promotes a fast‑paced, collaborative environment where engineers are encouraged to experiment and own end‑to‑end features. The company offers clear growth ladders, mentorship programs, and regular tech talks, fostering continuous learning. While the workload can be intense during product launches, flexible hybrid work options and wellness initiatives help maintain a reasonable work‑life balance.

Operating in more than 500 cities, it connects millions of customers with hundreds of thousands of restaurants and a fleet of over 2 lakh delivery executives. The company’s tech‑first DNA powers everything from order routing to real‑time inventory management, leveraging massive data pipelines and machine‑learning models to deliver a seamless experience. The iOS team is a core pillar of Swiggy’s consumer‑facing products. As a Software Development Engineer I (Native iOS), you will join a fast‑moving squad that builds, ships, and iterates on the Swiggy consumer app used by millions daily. This role offers a hands‑on learning environment where you can sharpen your Swift/SwiftUI skills while contributing to features that impact a massive user base.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement new iOS features in Swift and SwiftUI, ensuring clean architecture and code reusability.
2. Refactor existing modules to improve scalability, maintainability, and testability.
3. Write unit, UI, and integration tests; set up automated testing pipelines.

5. Collaborate with backend teams to integrate RESTful APIs and handle JSON/Proto data.
6. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and adhering to coding standards.
7. Produce technical documentation, API specs, and release notes for smooth hand‑offs.
8. Engage in Agile ceremonies—sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives—to deliver iteratively.
9. Stay updated with the latest iOS trends, frameworks, and best practices, sharing knowledge within the team.
10. Contribute ideas for product improvements, UI/UX enhancements, and overall app quality.
Tech Stack: Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, Xcode, Git, Jenkins, RESTful APIs, JSON/Proto, Agile/Scrum.
Growth Path: Starting as SDE‑I, you can progress to SDE‑II, Senior Engineer, Lead Engineer, and eventually Architecture or Management roles, with opportunities to work on cross‑functional projects across Swiggy’s ecosystem.
Why Join Swiggy? You will be part of a high‑impact product that touches millions of lives, work alongside passionate technologists, and enjoy a culture that encourages ownership, rapid learning, and innovation.
