The Graduate Engineer Trainee – Order Management role is designed for recent BE graduates in Mechanical or Electrical engineering who are eager to dive into the world of production planning and supply chain coordination. As a trainee, you will be immersed in the end‑to‑end order fulfilment process, from material requirement planning (MRP) to capacity scheduling, ensuring that Konecranes meets its stringent on‑time delivery targets. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams—procurement, stores, production, engineering and quality—to guarantee material availability, monitor production progress, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Prepare and manage detailed production plans and schedules to achieve a 95% delivery punctuality. 2. Coordinate with procurement, stores, engineering and quality teams for timely material availability. 3. Monitor daily production progress, identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions. 4. Perform material and capacity planning using ERP/MRP tools while maintaining optimal inventory levels. 5. Analyze machine, manpower and resource capacity to improve utilisation. 6. Track raw material, WIP and finished‑goods inventory and update ERP master data. 7. Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing information in the ERP system. 8. Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and 5S initiatives to enhance productivity. 9. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production performance reports. 10. Coordinate long lead‑time items such as motors, gearboxes, wire ropes and structural steel for crane projects. Tech Stack & Tools: ERP (SAP or equivalent), MRP modules, MS Excel, basic data analytics, familiarity with ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards, and Lean tools.
