As a Software Engineer at Cisco, you will develop software consistent with Cisco 'Design Thinking Principles' with a focus on simplification using secure coding practices, ensuring user privacy, and following software development best practices. You will build applications that make technology accessible to people on a variety of devices. You will imagine, design, and create solutions to transform how we work, live, learn, and play. You will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for enhancements and new products. You will develop software and tools in support of design, infrastructure, and technology platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. You will contribute to the solution of straightforward business problems regarding operations, products, services, or customers. You will analyze information, ask questions, and check for understanding using standard procedures within the job family. You will establish relationships and collaborate effectively with your team. You will collaborate with others on projects and work on small-to-medium features from technical design through completion. You will apply your understanding of the software development lifecycle and how various agile engineering practices can be used in your projects.
