📋 About the Role
Cisco is a global technology leader that has been shaping the way people connect, communicate and collaborate for over four decades. With a portfolio that spans networking, security, collaboration, cloud and AI, Cisco helps enterprises of all sizes to build resilient, secure and intelligent infrastructures. The company’s culture is built around innovation, inclusion and continuous learning, offering employees access to cutting‑edge technologies and a worldwide network of experts.
The Associate Solutions Engineer (ASE) role is part of Cisco’s 12‑month CSAP (Cisco Sales Associate Program) designed to fast‑track high‑potential talent into technical sales. The program starts with a three‑month immersive bootcamp in Singapore, followed by a year of rotational assignments across Cisco’s Sales Enablement & Acceleration team in India. Trainees work side‑by‑side with Associate Sales Representatives, using AI‑driven platforms to design, demonstrate and sell solutions that address real‑world customer challenges. Throughout the journey, participants earn industry‑recognised certifications, receive mentorship from seasoned CSAP alumni and develop a deep understanding of Cisco’s end‑to‑end technology stack.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Completing the Singapore bootcamp and mastering foundational networking, security, collaboration and cloud concepts.
2. Collaborating with sales teams to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
3. Designing and delivering product demos, proof‑of‑concepts and AI‑enhanced solution architectures.
4. Conducting technical simulations using Cisco’s internal AI learning platforms.
5. Earning certifications such as CCNA, DevNet Associate and AI‑related badges.
6. Managing three rotational assignments that provide exposure to different market segments and solution domains.
7. Communicating complex technical ideas in clear, business‑focused language for diverse audiences.
8. Documenting best practices, playbooks and post‑sales support material.
9. Mentoring newer cohort members and contributing to a collaborative hub‑based learning environment.
10. Continuously tracking performance metrics and participating in quarterly competency checkpoints.
The tech stack spans Cisco DNA Center, Webex, SecureX, Meraki, as well as programming languages like Python and Java for automation and integration. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI/ML fundamentals is highly valued. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates transition into a full‑time Solutions Engineer role within Cisco’s Global Virtual Engineering (GVE) team, with clear pathways to Senior SE, Sales Engineer Manager or specialised solution architect positions.
Why join Cisco? The program offers unparalleled exposure to industry‑leading technologies, a structured learning path, global mentorship and the chance to work on real customer problems from day one. The AI‑first mandate ensures you will develop future‑ready skills, while Cisco’s inclusive culture and commitment to employee growth provide a solid foundation for a long‑term, rewarding career.
