📋 About the Role
FedEx is one of the world’s largest express transportation companies and has consistently been ranked among Fortune’s top 10 World’s Most Admired Companies. With a presence in more than 220 countries and territories, FedEx delivers not only parcels but also comprehensive business solutions that keep global commerce moving. The company’s success is built on its People‑Service‑Profit (P‑S‑P) philosophy – taking care of its people first, which in turn drives exceptional service for customers and fuels sustainable profitability. This philosophy creates a vibrant, inclusive culture where innovation, teamwork, and continuous learning are encouraged, making FedEx an attractive destination for fresh talent looking to grow. As a Full Stack Developer I, you will be part of the technology team that powers FedEx’s digital transformation. You will work closely with Full Stack Developer Advisors and solution architects to break down large epics into manageable capabilities, design robust micro‑service based solutions, and implement end‑to‑end features that are both scalable and secure. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include writing high‑performance front‑end and back‑end code, conducting thorough code reviews, ensuring adherence to security best practices, and managing competing priorities while keeping senior leadership informed. You will also own demo content, act as a liaison between on‑shore and off‑shore vendor teams, and mentor junior developers, thereby playing a pivotal role in knowledge transfer and team growth. Key responsibilities: 1. Collaborate with advisors to decompose epics, define solution designs, and guide application architects. 2. Develop scalable, resilient micro‑services and responsive front‑end interfaces. 3. Ensure code quality, performance, and security through automated testing and static analysis. 4. Lead code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and enforce best practices. 5. Prioritize tasks, triage issues, and deliver status updates to executive leadership. 6. Own software demo content, manage acceptance criteria, and showcase releases. 7. Facilitate cross‑team communication, resolving dependencies across multiple development groups. 8. Clearly articulate requirements to on‑shore and off‑shore vendor teams. 9. Serve as backup for the development lead when required. 10. Mentor and train junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning. Tech stack: Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Node.js, React/Angular, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Bitbucket), SQL/NoSQL databases. Growth path: Starting as a Full Stack Developer I, you can progress to Senior Developer, Lead Engineer, and eventually Architecture or Management roles, supported by FedEx’s robust mentorship programs, internal training platforms, and global exposure. Why join FedEx? You will work for a globally recognized brand that values diversity, offers competitive compensation, and provides ample opportunities to work on cutting‑edge technologies that impact millions of customers worldwide. The inclusive culture, focus on employee well‑being, and clear career progression make FedEx an ideal launchpad for ambitious freshers.
