📋 About the Role
Barclays is a global financial services powerhouse with a strong presence in India, especially in Bengaluru, where it drives digital transformation for banking, payments and risk management. The firm prides itself on a culture of innovation, diversity and continuous learning, offering fresh talent exposure to cutting‑edge technologies and real‑world business problems. With a commitment to sustainable growth, Barclays invests heavily in data‑driven decision making, making its analytics and business intelligence teams a strategic asset. As a Data Visualisation & BI Reporting Analyst, you will be the visual storyteller that bridges the gap between complex data sets and actionable business insights. Working closely with product managers, engineers and VUX teams, you will design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards that empower stakeholders across the organisation. Your work will directly influence product strategy, risk assessment and customer experience, ensuring that data is not just collected but also understood and acted upon. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design and develop end‑to‑end Tableau and Power BI dashboards following best‑in‑class visualisation principles. 2. Translate business requirements into robust data models, including joins, relationships and blending. 3. Write DAX queries for Power BI and LOD expressions for Tableau to meet analytical needs. 4. Automate report generation, scheduling extracts on Tableau Server and setting up subscriptions/alerts. 5. Optimize live‑connection performance and manage concurrent user traffic. 6. Collaborate with product, engineering and VUX teams to productionise dashboards per Barclays standards. 7. Maintain and update existing reports, handling template releases and change management. 8. Conduct exploratory data analysis, data cleansing and ensure data quality before visualisation. 9. Document processes, controls and obtain stakeholder sign‑offs for new reporting solutions. 10. Stay abreast of emerging BI tools and visualisation trends to continuously improve the reporting ecosystem. Tech Stack: Tableau, Power BI, DAX, LOD expressions, SQL, Tableau Server, Azure/Power BI Service, Git for version control, basic Python/R for data manipulation. Growth Path: Starting as a junior BI Analyst, you can progress to Senior Analyst, BI Lead, and eventually BI Architect or Analytics Manager, with opportunities to move into product analytics or data strategy roles across Barclays’ global network. Why Join Barclays? You will work in a collaborative, high‑impact environment that values data‑driven decision making. The role offers exposure to large‑scale financial data, mentorship from seasoned analysts, and a clear career ladder. Barclays also provides continuous learning programs, flexible work arrangements and a supportive culture that encourages innovation and work‑life balance.
