The Graduate Apprentice Trainee program is a structured, paid apprenticeship designed for fresh engineering graduates from the 2024, 2025 and 2026 batches. Over a period of 12‑18 months, apprentices are rotated across critical functions such as Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain Management, Quality, and Manufacturing Planning. The role offers hands‑on exposure to real‑world automotive operations, allowing candidates to translate academic concepts into industrial practice and develop a holistic understanding of vehicle manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist production teams in daily manufacturing activities and monitor line performance.
2. Support maintenance engineers in preventive and corrective maintenance of plant equipment.
3. Participate in supply‑chain activities including part procurement, inventory tracking and vendor coordination.
4. Contribute to quality assurance processes, conduct inspections and help resolve non‑conformities.
5. Work with manufacturing planning teams to develop and update production schedules.
6. Apply problem‑solving methodologies (e.g., 5‑Why, DMAIC) to address process bottlenecks.
7. Prepare and present short reports on project progress and learning outcomes.
8. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless workflow across departments.
9. Engage in continuous learning through internal training modules and industry webinars.
10. Uphold safety standards and contribute to a culture of zero incidents.
Technical Stack & Tools: Basic knowledge of CAD software, PLC programming, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), ERP/MRP systems, and familiarity with industry‑standard quality tools (FMEA, SPC).
Growth Path: Successful apprentices may be offered full‑time positions as Junior Engineers or Process Executives, with clear career ladders into senior engineering, project management, or specialist roles within Tata Motors.
