📋 About the Role
JPMorgan Chase & Co., a 200‑year‑old financial powerhouse, is one of the world’s most diversified banks, offering services ranging from consumer banking to investment management. The firm’s culture blends a strong legacy of risk‑aware banking with a relentless focus on innovation, especially in data‑driven automation. Through its Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) division, JPMorgan serves millions of everyday customers, delivering credit cards, mortgages, auto loans and digital banking experiences that set industry standards. The company is known for investing heavily in technology platforms such as Databricks, UiPath, and AI‑enabled tools to streamline operations, improve data quality, and accelerate decision‑making. As part of its transformation agenda, the Automation & Data team is tasked with building intelligent solutions that reduce manual effort, enhance data governance, and drive cost efficiencies across the finance function.
The Automation & Data – Analyst role sits at the intersection of robotic process automation (RPA) and data engineering. Reporting to the CCB Finance Transformation lead, the analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining end‑to‑end automation workflows while ensuring that the underlying data assets are accurate, well‑documented, and compliant with governance policies. The position is execution‑focused, requiring a blend of hands‑on coding, process analysis, and stakeholder communication. Working in an evening shift (2 PM‑11 PM IST) the analyst will collaborate with citizen developers, data owners, and finance business partners to deliver solutions that directly impact the bottom line.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Build and deploy automation bots using UiPath, Python scripts, Alteryx workflows, and ServiceNow integrations.
2. Automate last‑mile finance processes to eliminate manual errors and improve turnaround time.
3. Monitor production bots, generate performance analytics, and suggest optimization opportunities.
4. Review citizen‑developer solutions for compliance with IA policies, IS controls, and documentation standards.
5. Partner with Databricks and Data Ownership teams to publish reliable datasets, maintain metadata (lineage, dependencies) and support financial reporting.
6. Conduct data‑quality checks, drive data‑governance initiatives, and ensure adherence to data‑protection and retention rules.
7. Contribute to CCB Finance Action Plan projects such as analytics dashboards and governance reporting.
8. Provide backup support for Access Management tasks and assist in user‑access provisioning.
9. Prepare clear user guides and knowledge‑transfer documents for business owners.
10. Participate in continuous improvement forums to identify new automation opportunities.
Tech stack: UiPath, Python, Alteryx, ServiceNow, AI/ML toolsets, Databricks, SQL, Azure/Cloud services.
Growth path: Analysts can progress to Senior Analyst, Automation Lead, Data Governance Manager, or move into Product Management roles within the CCB technology ecosystem. The exposure to both RPA and data platforms equips candidates with a rare hybrid skill set valued across the banking sector.
Why join? JPMorgan offers a global platform, mentorship from seasoned finance technologists, competitive compensation, and a clear commitment to employee development. The role provides direct impact on high‑visibility finance processes, a chance to work with cutting‑edge automation tools, and a supportive environment that encourages continuous learning.
