The Full Stack Engineer – Java and React role is designed for fresh engineering graduates who are eager to work on large‑scale, cloud‑native applications that power Optum’s Optimal Care Referral Management System. In this position, you will be part of an Agile Scrum team responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying end‑to‑end features that enable seamless referral workflows across multiple markets. You will collaborate closely with product owners, UX designers, and data engineers to translate business requirements into robust, scalable code.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Analyse functional specifications and translate them into technical designs.
2. Develop backend services using Java, SpringBoot, and Azure cloud services.
3. Build responsive front‑end components with React and Angular, ensuring cross‑browser compatibility.
4. Write efficient SQL queries and optimise database interactions.
5. Implement unit and integration test cases following secure coding standards.
6. Participate actively in all Agile ceremonies – sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and demos.
7. Contribute to code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Assist in rolling out new CDOs (Clinical Data Objects) and market‑specific implementations.
