📋 About the Role
Genpact is a global leader in advanced technology and process intelligence solutions. Founded in 1997, the company has grown into a powerhouse that helps Fortune 500 enterprises accelerate digital transformation through AI, automation, and data‑driven insights. With a workforce of over 140,000 professionals, Genpact operates across 30+ countries, delivering end‑to‑end services that span finance, supply chain, customer experience, and human resources. The firm’s AI Gigafactory, an industry‑first accelerator, showcases its commitment to scaling cutting‑edge AI models that solve complex business problems at speed and scale. Genpact’s culture is built on curiosity, courage, and inclusivity, encouraging employees to experiment, learn quickly, and drive measurable impact for clients worldwide. The Management Trainee – HRO (Human Resources Operations) role is designed for fresh graduates who aspire to become HR business partners in a fast‑moving, technology‑driven environment. As a trainee, you will rotate across key HR functions, gaining hands‑on exposure to employee lifecycle management, payroll, benefits administration, visa and immigration support, and US HR policy compliance. You will work closely with senior HR professionals, assist in resolving employee queries, and contribute to process improvements that enhance employee experience across Genpact’s global workforce. Key Responsibilities: 1. Provide first‑level support on a wide range of HR topics including travel insurance, health & welfare, COBRA, Medicare, HIPAA, 401(k), payroll, and visa & immigration matters. 2. Manage day‑to‑day HR operations, including help‑desk call handling and ticket resolution. 3. Process international transfers, temporary conversions, and internal mobility requests. 4. Update and maintain employee personal data such as citizenship, marital status, legal name, and educational qualifications. 5. Execute organizational changes like manager reassignments, position changes, job title updates, and cost‑center reallocations. 6. Assist managers in initiating employee lifecycle transactions (onboarding, promotions, transfers, exits). 7. Coordinate with the staffing team to resolve new‑hire discrepancies and ensure smooth onboarding. 8. Handle termination processing for regular full‑time employees, interns, temporary consultants, and contractors. 9. Support compliance activities related to US HR policies, tax forms (W‑2, W‑4), severance, and mass termination scenarios. 10. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and recommending automation opportunities. The role offers a clear growth path: successful trainees can progress to HR Analyst, HR Specialist, and eventually HR Business Partner or HR Operations Manager, with opportunities to work on global projects and lead AI‑enabled HR solutions. Genpact invests heavily in learning – you will receive mentorship, access to internal learning platforms, and exposure to industry‑leading tools. Joining Genpact means being part of a values‑driven culture that rewards curiosity, encourages innovation, and provides a platform to make a tangible impact on global enterprises.
