As a performance‑focused developer, you will be responsible for designing, building and validating high‑throughput Java applications. The role blends core Java development with performance testing, ensuring that applications meet stringent response time and load criteria before they reach production. You will work closely with senior architects, product owners and QA engineers to deliver robust, scalable solutions. Key responsibilities include: 1. Design and develop Java based micro‑services and REST APIs using Spring Boot and Hibernate. 2. Create and maintain automated performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner. 3. Conduct load, stress and endurance testing to validate response times and peak load handling. 4. Analyse performance test results, identify bottlenecks and recommend optimisation strategies. 5. Write unit and integration tests with JUnit and Mockito to ensure code quality. 6. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines. 7. Participate in code reviews, providing feedback on performance considerations. 8. Document test plans, test cases and performance metrics for stakeholder review. 9. Stay updated with emerging performance testing tools and best practices. 10. Contribute to knowledge‑sharing sessions and internal training on performance engineering.
