📋 About the Role
HackCulture.io is a vibrant community‑driven platform that nurtures young technologists, innovators and makers across India. Founded by a group of alumni from top engineering institutes, HackCulture focuses on building ecosystems where students can collaborate on real‑world problems, gain mentorship from industry veterans, and showcase their talent to leading companies. The platform regularly hosts hackathons, bootcamps, and innovation challenges that bridge the gap between academic learning and industry demands. With a strong emphasis on inclusivity, HackCulture has partnered with premier institutions such as Plaksha University and global motorsport teams like TGR Haas F1, creating unique opportunities for participants to work on cutting‑edge engineering concepts.
The TrackShift Innovation Challenge 2026 is the flagship event of HackCulture for the year. It invites undergraduate and postgraduate students to form teams of 2‑4 members and apply proven motorsport engineering principles—such as pit‑wall intelligence, energy recovery, and supply‑chain traceability—to solve pressing societal challenges in India. Participants will design, prototype, and present solutions that are technically feasible, scalable, and measurable in impact. The challenge runs from late June to mid‑September, culminating in a 24‑hour on‑campus sprint at Plaksha University where teams demonstrate their prototypes to a panel of mentors, industry leaders, and judges.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Form a multidisciplinary team of 2‑4 members and define clear roles.
2. Conduct problem‑statement research to align the solution with real‑world constraints.
3. Apply AI/ML, data analytics, or systems‑engineering techniques to develop a decision‑engine or predictive model.
4. Build a functional prototype or simulation that showcases the core innovation.
5. Prepare a comprehensive technical report covering methodology, results, and impact metrics.
6. Create a compelling pitch deck and demo video for the final presentation.
7. Participate in mentorship sessions, webinars, and peer‑review workshops organized by HackCulture and partner organizations.
8. Adhere to the code of conduct, ensuring originality of work and proper citation of any open‑source tools used.
9. Engage with the broader community by sharing insights on social media and HackCulture forums.
10. Iterate on feedback received during the challenge day to refine the solution for potential real‑world deployment.
Tech Stack: Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, OpenCV, MATLAB/Simulink, Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), IoT sensors, CAD tools, and version‑control (Git). Growth Path: Successful participants gain visibility among recruiters from Mphasis, TGR Haas F1, and other industry partners, opening doors to internships, full‑time roles, or research collaborations. Why Join: The challenge offers a ₹1.8 L+ prize pool, a visit to the TGR Haas F1 Facility in the UK, a one‑month internship at Mphasis, and a prestigious participation certificate. It also provides hands‑on experience with motorsport‑grade engineering, mentorship from domain experts, and a platform to turn innovative ideas into market‑ready solutions.
