The role of Consultant – Playwright Automation Testing is positioned within the Quality Engineering stream of the Technology & Transformation practice. As an automation engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust automation frameworks that accelerate the delivery of high‑quality software. You will work closely with development, product, and QA teams to ensure that web UI, API, mobile, and Salesforce applications are thoroughly tested and continuously integrated into the CI/CD pipeline. This position offers exposure to a wide range of technologies and the opportunity to mentor junior engineers while influencing the overall testing strategy. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design and develop Playwright‑based automation frameworks using Java or TypeScript. 2. Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing. 3. Implement API test automation using Rest Assured and Karate. 4. Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.). 5. Manage test data, configure environments, and generate detailed test reports. 6. Perform performance and reliability testing for web services and mobile apps. 7. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into test scenarios. 8. Troubleshoot flaky tests, resolve automation failures, and continuously improve framework stability. 9. Mentor junior team members on best practices in test automation and code quality. 10.
