The role of Software Engineer I is a hands‑on, end‑to‑end engineering position. You will be part of a small, fast‑moving core team that designs, builds and ships features for the compliance orchestration engine and the AI agent layer. The job is a classic "build it, ship it, own it" experience – you will take a feature from product requirement, through design, implementation, deployment, monitoring and iteration. You will work directly with the founders, product managers and compliance experts, turning messy real‑world regulatory problems into clean, reliable software that runs at scale. Key responsibilities include: 1. Design, develop and ship production‑grade REST APIs and micro‑services that coordinate checks across 80+ third‑party compliance vendors. 2. Build data pipelines for ingesting, transforming and routing large volumes of compliance data in real time. 3. Implement case‑management workflows and business logic for KYB/AML processes. 4. Integrate with external identity and risk‑assessment APIs, handling complex response mapping and error handling. 5. Write clean, well‑tested code with comprehensive documentation and participate in code reviews. 6. Develop monitoring, alerting and observability for all services you own. 7. Debug production incidents with urgency and own the end‑to‑end resolution. 8. Contribute to architecture discussions, technical decision‑making and engineering best practices. 9. Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, compliance and customer‑success teams. 10. Help shape the engineering culture as the team scales.
