📋 About the Role
NVIDIA Corporation is a global leader in visual computing, artificial intelligence, and high‑performance parallel processing. Founded in 1993, the company pioneered the GPU and has since expanded its technology stack to power everything from video games and Hollywood visual effects to autonomous vehicles, robotics, and data‑center AI workloads. With a culture that encourages bold innovation and a mission to amplify human imagination, NVIDIA consistently ranks among the most admired tech employers worldwide. The company’s hardware team in India works on cutting‑edge silicon that underpins the next generation of GPUs and system‑on‑chips (SoCs), offering fresh graduates a chance to contribute to products that shape the future of computing.
The Formal Verification Engineer role is designed for recent graduates who are eager to apply formal methods to ensure the correctness of complex digital designs. You will learn state‑of‑the‑art verification methodologies, develop robust test plans, and collaborate closely with design engineers to close verification gaps. This position provides a fast‑track entry into hardware verification, exposing you to industry‑leading tools and real‑world challenges across consumer graphics, AI accelerators, and self‑driving car platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Learn and apply formal verification techniques such as model checking and equivalence checking on IP blocks and SoCs.
2. Develop comprehensive verification plans that cover corner‑case scenarios and performance constraints.
3. Write and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and assertions (SVA) to capture design intent.
4. Execute verification runs, analyze coverage reports, and debug failures in collaboration with design teams.
5. Coordinate with cross‑functional verification engineers to ensure timely closure of tickets.
6. Contribute to the creation of reusable verification IP and methodology libraries.
7. Participate in design reviews, providing formal verification insights early in the development cycle.
8. Document verification strategies, results, and lessons learned for knowledge sharing.
9. Stay updated with emerging formal tools (e.g., JasperGold, Cadence Conformal) and propose improvements.
10. Mentor future interns or junior engineers as you grow within the team.
Tech Stack: Verilog, SystemVerilog, UVM, SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA), Formal verification tools (JasperGold, Cadence Conformal), Python/TCL scripting, Git, Jira.
Growth Path: Junior Verification Engineer → Verification Engineer → Senior Verification Engineer → Lead Verification Engineer → Verification Architect or Management roles.
Why Join NVIDIA: Work on industry‑defining GPU and AI hardware, collaborate with world‑class engineers, enjoy a culture that rewards curiosity and impact, and benefit from competitive compensation, stock options, and continuous learning opportunities.
